Laying laminate flooring might look straightforward, but as a floor layer, I can tell you there’s a lot more to it than just clicking boards together. A proper laminate install starts with good prep and planning.
Getting the layout right is key. We always stagger the joints and plan the rows so we’re not left with thin slivers at the walls. We also leave the correct expansion gap around the edges so the floor can move with changes in temperature and humidity—something a lot of DIY jobs get wrong.
The actual fitting requires careful cutting around door frames, radiators, and awkward corners. A clean finish is all in the detail—especially at thresholds and trim work.
